KC in the Afternoon

The city of Raleigh was pulsing with energy last Friday night, as Kane Brown brought his Up In The Air tour to the PNC Arena. In case you missed the absolutely electric show, don’t you worry. I have the full setlist right here for your Kane-venience! (See our full photo gallery HERE)

Highlights From The Show

Parmalee Performs

Before Kane took the stage as the show’s headliner, fans in the arena were treated to a rollicking opening set from North Carolina’s own Parmalee. The band enjoyed a warm and lively reception from their home state fans as they opened the show.

About halfway through their set, Parmalee performed their newest single, Gonna Love You, which front man Matt Thomas sang with just as much heartfelt emotion as he does in the studio version.

Tyler Hubbard Takes The Stage

After a fun opening act from the Carolina natives (including a surprise cover of Usher’s Yeah!), Parmalee closed out their set to make way for the 2nd opening act of the night: Tyler Hubbard.

The former FGL singer expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to all those who made it out to the show. After giving thanks to everyone in attendance, he put on an electrifying performance which included some of his big hit singles since starting his solo run. This included bangers like 5 Foot 9 and Dancin’ In The Country. Tyler also provided those in attendance with a live performance of his brand new hit song, Park.

But Tyler knew it wasn’t just his solo stuff that fans came to see. “I know what you’re all thinking. ‘Is he gonna play some Florida Georgia Line?'” He joked to the audience, then immediately jumped in to the former country duo’s debut single, Cruise.

The “Kane” Event

Once Tyler closed out his part of the show, it was time for the headliner. I, along with the thousands of concert goers in the PNC arena, stared upward in awe as Kane Brown began his performance by descending from the ceiling, belting out the entirety of Bury Me In Georgia as the scaffolding lowered closer to the stage.

\Kane capitalized on the momentum from his audacious stunt, keeping the captivated audience in the palm of his hand throughout his show. After a couple of songs, Kane left the main stage and ascended a secondary stage placed in the middle of the ground level of the arena. It was there that he showed love to military members in the audience before singing a moving rendition of his song Homesick.

After the song, Kane took a moment to sign various items passed up to him from the crowd, the most outlandish of which being a prosthetic leg. Kane humorously noted afterward that “that was the coolest thing I’ve ever autographed.”

Kane fed off the Carolina crowd’s energy all night long and sent all of us home happy with his tried-and-true country bop, Like I Love Country Music.

Kane Brown’s Complete Setlist

Kane Brown, Tyler Hubbard, and Parmalee were a perfect combination for the Raleigh show. All three acts made the night absolutely unforgettable for their loyal fans, including myself and my nephew whom I brought with me to enjoy the show. I think I speak for the entire Tar Heel State when I say all of them are welcome back to PNC anytime.
