WATCH: 82nd Chorus Joins WKML In Advance of America’s Got Talent Finale

The 82nd Airborne Division has made it to the finals of America's Got Talent, and on the eve of that performance, we got a chance to talk with them! With final prep work ongoing, four members of the 82nd Chorus stationed at Fort Liberty, took a few minutes to tell us about the experience so far. Oh, and before we forget, make sure you're ready to VOTE tonight! Here's the link to go vote. Sgt. Damarielis Vargas, SSG Marcus Gilbert, SPC. Oscar Roldan and PFC Silken Carlton are part of the group, that has taken America by storm with their incredible performances so far. In the audition round, the 82nd Chorus performed their viral sensation rendition of "My Girl." That easily advanced them into the next round. To move on to the finals, they performed Pink's "I Am Here," and the judges were stunned. “Thank you for not doing an obvious song, I mean this is a Pink song, that you turned around with a perfect lyric,” judge Simon Cowell said after the group got a standing ovation during Tuesday night’s show, which was recapped Wednesday. “And it was fun, and it was emotive. For me, this was a moment. You are one of my favorite acts this year.” That gave the 82nd Airborne Chorus a pass into the 2-hour America's Got Talent finale set for Tuesday night at 9 p.m. on NBC. The results will be announced on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. on NBC as well. "You know, you can’t live in this country, and be at home in this country and part of what we are and where we are, and not love what you just did,” judge Howie Mandel said. “It was so perfect – even though it’s a Pink song – we are here, because you are here. Without you, we couldn’t do what we’re doing. We wouldn’t have the freedom. We wouldn’t have the peace. We wouldn’t have the safety. I can’t thank you enough – for more than the performance – just for being here.” Here's our interview with the team. Help us wish them luck in the finals!
