-Pine Forest High School’s Green Team is having a recycling collection event from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on their campus located at 525 Andrews Road. For those that wish to volunteer, there will be a need to help collect and sort. Plastic and aluminum will be collected and there will be an opportunity to have a photograph taken with costumed characters.

-The Ladies Auxiliary of Cotton Fire Department is having their first-ever Spring Festival from 12-4.
-Games will be set up for the children, also selling hot dogs, drinks, chips, desserts, 50/50 raffle.

-The Association of Bragg Spouses is honored to host the 19th Annual Spring Fundraiser, named Very Important Charity Event (VICE) at Iron Mike Conference Center, Fort Bragg at 6pm. This year’s theme is Saturday Night Fever a 70’s disco!

-Free Clark Park Bird Appreciation Walking Group from 8:15-9:30 am. Bring or borrow binoculars and meet our growing group of bird lovers as we walk the trails looking for species. Call to register 910-433-1579.

-The Cumberland County Public Health Department will host a “Fun in the Sun with Public Health” event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Public Health Center parking lot located at 1235 Ramsey Street.
-The event will bring together Health Department clinics, County departments and community organizations to share information about health, safety and wellness with community members.
-This free, family-friendly event will feature booths, displays and giveaways. Balloon animals, face painting, popcorn and snow cones will also be available for free while supplies last. Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center will also host a blood drive at the event.

-Spring Litter Sweep: The N.C. Department of Transportation is looking for volunteers to help clean up trash along roads during the Adopt-A-Highway Spring Litter Sweep from April 13-27. Each April and September, the DOT calls on volunteers from across the state to help remove litter from roadsides.
-These may be from businesses, schools, nonprofits, churches or community groups, as well as individuals. Volunteers are provided with supplies such as trash bags, gloves and safety vests. -Spring Fling (College Lakes Recreation Center, 433-1564)
Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. There will be eggs filled with goodies, bounce houses, the Easter bunny and more. There will be different times for different age groups. This event will take place at the College Lakes Park. Please have children bring their own baskets.
2-12 yrs; Sat., April 13; noon-3 pm; Free
