Lainey Wilson Feels The Stars Have Finally Aligned for Her Career
Lainey Wilson was on fire at the ACM Awards Thursday night. She performed twice, and took home 4 ACM Awards. She won Album of the Year for Bell Bottom Country, Female Artist of the Year. Plus, Music Event of the Year and Visual Media of the Year for “Wait in the Truck” with HARDY, plus she made her red carpet debut with her new boyfriend, former Pittsburgh Steelers player Devlin Hodges.
Regarding her awards, she posted a thank you to her socials, writing, “I hope this inspires anyone out there that has a dream to chase it & work your dang butt off for it. I’m inspired by every single person who was nominated in these categories and I honestly believe I wouldn’t be where I am without them paving the way. Thank you #acmawards“

After working for years to get traction, things took off quickly for her in the past few years. “I mean, let’s not count the 12 years I’ve been in Nashville, but it does feel like things were starting to really kind of align. Like my record came out, Yellowstone happened, my big ol’ butt went viral on TikTok. I don’t know if you saw that. It was just like the stars were aligned and I was like, whatever. At this point, I’ve been working so hard,” said Wilson.
So what’s next for Lainey Wilson? Her and her team were discussing how she has crossed off everything on the list they wanted to do, so she’s dreaming a little bigger. And that dream is to be on SNL.
Andie Summers from 92.5 XTU in Philadelphia spoke to Lainey ahead of the awards show Thursday night, you can watch that whole interview here:
