Dolly Parton has finally released her long-awaited Rockstar album. The project is a 30-song collection that includes nine original tracks and 21 iconic rock anthems that pair Dolly with some of rock and roll’s most legendary names.
Dolly says of the new album, “I can’t tell you how proud I am of the Rockstar album, and I can’t tell you how happy I am that it’s finally here to be released. I really had a wonderful time working with all these iconic artists on the record and all these iconic musicians. Not to mention all these iconic songs that I think everybody will love hearing again.”
She added, “I just hope you enjoy my version of them.”
The album is available as a 4 LP set, a 2 CD set (including Home Shopping Network, University of Tennessee, and Dallas Cowboys CD exclusives), a double cassette (exclusive to TalkShopLive), digital download, and available on all streaming services.
The album’s focus track today (11/17) is “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction (feat. P!nk and Brandi Carlile).”

Parton has been on a media blitz for months now, promoting the new album. She told Apple’s “What Would Dolly Do?” podcast about her husband, Carl Dean, and the fact he doesn’t go to events with her. The icon said that Carl has never been in the limelight and “never wanted to be in it.”
She said he simply does not like it. She offered, “He went to one thing with me early on when we first married to a BMI Song of the Year [event], and he came out there taking off his tuxedo, his tie and all that and said, ‘Don’t ever ask me to go to another one of these damn things because I ain’t going.” From that moment, Dolly said she never asked him to do it again.
