Wednesday, August 16, 2023 is National Work From Home for Wellness Day.
The idea of National Work From Home for Wellness Day originated from a company called NextRep. NextRep has a developed a blueprint to follow for those who currently or for those who would like to consider working from home.
For many of us, the thought of working remotely probably never entered our thought process until COVID-19 came along. Almost overnight, thousands and maybe millions of hard-working Americans found a way to do our jobs from home.
If you had to make a change and now work from home, you may agree with a number of studies that show a number of tremendous benefits to working remotely.
- 3 out of 4 surveyed say their stress level has decreased
- Almost 70% say their family life has improved
Now, let me ask, when you are facing a deadline, do you have any secret techniques that you employ? My friend Richard plays nature sound effects in the background. Rick says the sounds keep him calm, focused and on track. My wife Debbie likes her peace and quiet. No noise whatsoever. I, on the other hand, strongly prefer music playing and through my ear buds.
If you wondering what songs I jam to, here are ten of my get-the-job-done favorites from my Country music library. I also have playlists from other genres of music including Carolina Beach music, Classic Rock and Smooth Jazz.
