We can all use a little more coffee in our lives, and new locations of Scooter's Coffee in Fayetteville and Sanford will help with that soon.

Scooter's Coffee is a Nebraska-based coffee chain with locations currently in Smithfield, Wilson, Monroe and Indian Trail, all in North Carolina. There are additional several hundred other locations across the country.

Father-son duo Vince Andracchio and Brice Andracchio will be the franchise owners, as part of a seven-unit agreement with Scooter's. Representatives said specific locations in the market have not been finalized yet.

"We discovered that Scooter’s Coffee shared our values in regard to treating their employees the right way, as well as their commitment customer service," Brice Andracchio said. "At the end of the day making the customer happy is paramount to our success."

The Andrachhio's are based out of Rocky Mount, and say they've owned several restaurant franchises, including near Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville.

"We own a fast-food franchise in Jacksonville near Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and we found it very rewarding serving the military community, the people willing to sacrifice to make our country a better place," Brice Andracchio said. "We want to do the same for the soldiers at Ft. Bragg and their families."

According to the company, Scooter's Coffee "specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee and Cold Brew & Cream."

"The Fayetteville area is a great market for our brand," said Kelly Crummer, Scooter’s Coffee Senior Director of Franchise Recruitment. "We are excited that Brice and Vince Andracchio have decided to open their franchisees there, as they share our core values of integrity, love, humility, and courage."

North Carolina Home to One of the Scariest Haunted Houses in the Country

Spooky season is in full force (now that we have that pesky hurricane out of the way) and it turns out, one of the scariest haunted houses in the country is right here in North Carolina.

The terror-filled folks over at HauntWorld.com released their annual Top 13 Scariest Haunted Houses in America list, and we can safely say we'll never go anywhere near any of those places. And a special thanks to Nicole Weaver with our sister stations in Charlotte for reporting this!

But if you're the type that loves intense thrills and chills, the list is probably for you!

"Each Haunted Attraction is different and what makes them unique from every other haunted attraction in America is these are simply the best of the best," HauntWorld said on its post. "This years top 13 lists includes haunts in real haunted asylums to others built into abandoned concrete factories to old turn of the century school houses or deep in the woods where no one will hear you scream! This year's list of the best and scariest haunted attractions has something for every traveling thrill seeker."

We'll list out all 13 of the spooky spaces below, but for our brave friends in North Carolina, you'll have to head up to Kersey Valley Spooky Woods near Greensboro to get your fill of terror.

"It all starts with the drive into the property from the back of the farm on a long winding dead-end road.  For the brave, we like to suggest rolling down the windows to take in the night air and the sounds of screams as you approach the attraction.  Once on property, everyone is fair game, so prepare for a night you will not soon forget."

So let's get to the rankings. First of all, make sure to check out the full list at HauntWorld.com. They obviously put a LOT of effort into this every year, and it terrified us just reading about all of the spaces.
