Mike Tyson ‘Scared to Death’ About His Fight With Jake Paul in July
Today’s Kick Butt Tip of the Day comes from the man who was once called “the baddest man on the planet,” former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.
While discussing his July 2024 fight with Jake Paul, Iron Mike told FOX News, “right now, I’m scared to death. I always believed that adversity and nervousness pretty much catapulted me into success. If I didn’t have these feelings, I wouldn’t go into this fight. I have to have these feelings to fight. Without them, I would never go in the ring. As the fight gets closer, the less nervous I become, because it’s reality. And in reality, I’m invincible.”
In reality, I think we both know that Mike will be ready for Jake.
So, here is my question for you. When you need motivation, what action steps do you take?
For some, they pull out a piece of paper and write their goal at the top and then list the actions that they must take in order to achieve the goal.
For a head coach, his/her players rehearse the playbook over and over during practice. Then on game day, the team that best executes those plays is victorious.
For me and probably for most of us, taking the first step is the most difficult. I know exactly what needs to be done or what should be done, but somehow, I hesitate. Then later, I often feel guilty for not taking action.
I once read a blog from a fitness expert that said, the first step to running the Boston Marathon begins with something as simple as your first 5 minute walk.
The Tyson/Paul fight is scheduled for July 20, 2024 at AT&T Stadium In Arlington, Texas. As of right now, there is a snafu as the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has not approved the fight.
Iron Mike Tyson is 57. His much younger opponent Jake Paul is 30 years younger.
Go get ’em tiger! God don’t make no junk. You, yes you are awesome! Now go be awesome!
