As we celebrate National Farmers Day, we take a look at the country music songs that remind us most of the hard work those men and women do.

October 12th is National Farmers Day. So in recognition of farmers, “Wide Open Country” put together a list of the 10 best country songs about farming.

When I think of farming songs, I think of some of my Tim McGraw favorites like “Where The Green Grass Grows” or “Down on the Farm”.

I imagine Jason Aldean’s “Big Green Tractor”. And I most definitely imagine just about anything from Luke Bryan – he used to work on his dad’s peanut farm in Georgia.

But this list encompasses the best farming songs. Here they are in no particular order:

  • Kenny Chesney - "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy"

  • Jason Aldean - "Amarillo Sky"

  • Craig Morgan - "International Harvester"

  • Luke Bryan - "Rain Is a Good Thing"

  • Neal McCoy - "The Last of a Dying Breed"

  • Travis Tritt - "Where Corn Don't Grow"

  • Johnny Cash - "Farmer's Almanac"

  • Alabama - "Song of the South"

  • The Charlie Daniels Band - "American Farmer"

  • John Denver - "Thank God I'm a Country Boy"
