Reality singing competitions have put out many great artists, but did you know that a number of today’s biggest country stars were actually rejected by shows like The Voice and American Idol?
That’s right, the biggest and best singers in Nashville weren’t always on the highest peak of their career.
Have you ever dreamed what it would it be like to stand on a stage and hear the roar of thousands of fans who turned out to see and hear you perform? The word indescribable comes to my mind.
But it isn’t always sunshine and roses, as stars like Luke Combs, Kane Brown, Hillary Scott and many more got rejected… sometimes by multiple shows!
“I was on spring break a few years ago when The Voice was having auditions in Atlanta, Georgia,” Combs told Whiskey Riff in an interview a few months back. “In my audition round, I was the only guy and you get about thirty seconds to sing. I made it to the next round that was at a studio, and then made it to the next cut.”
Check this list of Country stars who didn’t let their dreams die even after being rejected by “The Voice,” “America’s Got Talent,” “American Idol” and/or “The X Factor.”
