Farm Aid 2022 is coming to Raleigh in September and the lineup is incredible, so we put together a playlist! Farm Aid not only puts on a killer music festival, their mission is rooted in a much deeper cause.
In 1985, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young organized the Farm Aid benefit concert to raise money for and help family farmers in the United States. The organization is motivated to be there for the family farmer, with services like the Farm Aid Hotline.
Per farmaid.org “The 1-800-FARM-AID hotline and email service, Farm Aid’s Hotline Staff refers farmers to an extensive network of family farm and rural support organizations across the country. Referrals provide immediate support to farm families in crisis and farmers seeking to transition to more sustainable farming practices, as well as for individuals looking to become farmers.”
Beyond that there are resources for Family Farm Disaster Funds and a Farmer Resource Network, bringing together those actively farming and those interested in starting farming.
North Carolina is proud to welcome Willie Nelson and the 2022 Farm Aid Festival, in support of music and agriculture. This year’s lineup includes some epic music legends, and I love listening to all of them.
