Peanut Butter Twinkies Exist and Here’s Where to Find Them
Yes, this title may sound like a spin-off to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but an even more delicious Twinkie does exist.
If your childhood was similar to mine, the spongey treat was a lunch time staple during my school years. The legendary snack has generally stayed in the same form for years, well, until now.
Granted, the Hostess company has tried to branch out and attempt to make different flavors. Yes, we are looking at you Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Twinkies! However, none of these new flavor escapades have delved into the chocolate-peanut butter world.
Buzzfeed Food reported that, within the next few weeks, stores across the country will be stocking their shelves with a new flavor. That is right, you will be able to test out the new chocolate peanut butter Twinkie.
To us, it sounds as though this flavor will taste like if a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup had a baby with a Twinkie. Needless to say, we are all about that life.
Based off of pictures posted on social media, it seems like the surrounding cake will be chocolate. As far as the typical vanilla flavoring, well that will be receiving a facelift of straight-up delicious peanut butter. Besides the flavor change, the packaging will be identical to the original boxes. Each Twinkie will be wrapped individually for your personal enjoyment.

We are sure you are now wondering how to possibly get your hands on the new flavor. Well, do not fret! We do have the answer! According to the spokesperson for Hostess, the treat will hit the nation “in the coming weeks” says Buzzfeed Food. We will definitely be checking our local grocery store for any new peanut buttery and chocolate additions.
Who knows, this new junk food just might be the sweet you were looking for!
