Oh Baby! Sarah’s Weekend Trip To Pennsylvania!
Baby on board! My sister, Katie, is pregnant with her first baby, and our family could not be more thrilled! This past weekend we threw her a baby shower and per usual, my family did not disappoint with the laughs!
My family lives about 6.5 hours away up in Pennsylvania so this was a quick turnaround weekend! I traveled up Friday after the morning show and got into town with no issues. We had dinner that evening at my favorite local Mexican restaurant! But everyone was geared up for Saturday’s big bash!
Saturday was such a whirl wind I can hardly remember it! We got to our venue early to set up for Katie’s baby shower and then I had the job of bringing the mom-to-be to her shower. She was overwhelmed with happiness and appreciation! We even had two family members from Connecticut come down for the special day. After some great food and games, Katie opened her many (many!) gifts. I’ve never seen so many swaddles, blankets, onesies, and diapers in my life!!
After the successful baby shower it was time to move on and honor our mama bear! Saturday also happened to be her 71st birthday. We went out for a nice birthday dinner and celebrated family, friends, and of course my amazing mom.
I turned right back around drove back to North Carolina Sunday morning. Although it was a very quick and short trip with a lot of driving, I wouldn’t trade that time with them for anything. Below are a few pictures from the festivities!
