-The next Volunteer Day at Carvers Creek State Park is Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers help with everything from mending old farm fences to culverts, to invasive species of plants, to leaf clean-up and trail creation. Meet at the new Sandhills access, 995 McCloskey Road in Fayetteville.

-Arts on Elm: April 27, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Elm Street, Lumberton. Artists and vendors will be set up on Elm Street between 10th and 15th streets, with live music, kids activities, demonstrations, food, pottery and jewelry. A Robeson County Arts Council event.

-The Stedman Baptist Church Harvest Team is having a free community health fair on Saturday, April 27, 2019, from 10-3.
-We are hoping to have different groups come in and set up booths to help educate the members of our and surrounding communities.

-Rockefeller House tours: Staff at Carvers Creek State Park will lead a tour through James Stillman Rockefeller’s winter estate on Sunday at 2 p.m. The tour will begin by discussing the history of the property followed by a guided tour inside the Rockefeller House and learning about Rockefeller. The tour ends with a walk around the outside of the estate and discussing some surrounding structures, some of which date to the early 1800s.
-Tours are free but you must sign up ahead of time. The park is at 2505 Long Valley Road in Spring Lake. For more information, call 910-436-4681.
