I love Country music! And this week I’m so happy to share some more tunes I’ve discovered.
Dan+Shay have hinted at working on new music while they took breaks from social media. And they came back with a bang! Not only did they announce their upcoming album Bigger Houses, dropping this September, but they released 3 new songs off the album including their new single Save Me The Trouble. Ya’ll…. this song…. if you haven’t blasted it in the car yet, do yourself the favor. The vocals, the buildup, the power! They did NOT have to go that hard, but they did! THIS is what we’ve been waiting for. I’m so proud of these guys and love this song. It’s a smash!
Megan Moroney’s debut album Lucky (which coincidentally has the lucky number 13 songs on it…) came out in May and every single song could be a radio single. I’m Not Pretty is the first ong on the album track list and is the relatable tale of addressing the NEW girlfriend of your ex – “keep telling yourself I’m not pretty”. Megan brings both sass and humility to this entire album and the song sticks out as a monster hit.
Lastly, my roommate deserves credit for introducing me to Logan Mize. Anytime he played his music in the house I’d ask “Who is this? I love it!” I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know much about Logan aside from the fact that he’s a Kansas native that made the move to Nashville and has made a name for himself within the community. It’s About Time is off his last album from 2021 and based off what I’ve heard, I hope he’s working on a new record for 2023 or early 2024.
