Every few years, Rolling Stone compiles a list of the “100 Greatest Country Albums Of All Time,” and it looks like we were due for a new one.
I am sure you have heard the saying “music is the soundtrack to our lives.” Just ask anyone to name their favorite singer or band and depending on their generation, they may reach over and show you the actual vinyl album or cassette or compact disc.
For many of us, some of our sweetest memories center around our younger days of vinyl records, record players, liner notes or lyrics and singing along or listening into the wee hours of the morning. Sweet memories. I am very fortunate to own a working 8-track tape player along with several that were favorites of my Father.

It’s hard to compare modern country to extremely classic country, but they do a pretty good job of it with this list.
Let’s take a look at the top of the chart, with Taylor Swift in the modern era, all the way back to some great 60s and 70s favorites.
