Happy Monday! This past weekend I went to the lake with a group of friends. The sun was shining and the water felt great. We had the charcoal grill fired up and it was the perfect afternoon for paddle boarding on the lake. Our only complaint was… we need to find friends that own a boat!
That got me thinking, this is the perfect week to curate my playlist around the start of Summer and that perfect lake day feeling.

I love that this is a standout pure country song on a giant album that notably includes inspiration from other genres. Lauren Alaina and Lainey Wilson is the duo friendship we never knew we needed! The two have hopped on each other’s social media accounts in the past and it helps that they’ve got monstrous voices! The first line of this song is “Thelma and Louise” and it’s a super fun summer time jam highlighting female friendship! It also includes a little Luke Bryan smash.
Just in time for the start of summer, Jake Owen is bringing us the ultimate boat song to crank up on the lake, On The Boat Again.
