Date Night Ideas
I wanted to finish out February (and the month of love) by suggesting some date night ideas for you and your special someone! A lot of these dates are free or save you money, plus a ton of fun!
-Skip Dinner. Go out for breakfast instead. Or better yet, have breakfast for dinner! It’s the most important meal of the day, cheaper than dinner, and who can pass up pancakes and bacon??
-Watch the sunrise or sunset. Talk about romantic. Bonus points if you find a scenic lookout to watch from.
-Test drive a car you can’t afford. Okay okay, don’t get mad at me for this one, but I think it could be so fun! Dress up a little. Go look at that fancy new Mercedes. Test it out. Then walk away!
-Take a dance lesson. This promotes team work but gives you an environment to stay physically close together. If neither of you are great dancers, don’t take it too seriously. Have fun and laugh at yourselves. Enjoy the music and learning something new!
-Grab a cup of coffee and walk downtown. I personally really enjoy downtown Fayetteville, Southern Pines, and Pinehurst village. On a beautiful day, it’s nice to grab a coffee and walk around/browse. As we head into Spring I’m sure there will be a lot more bustling downtown!
-Concert in the park. The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival is coming up! And many other areas have outdoor concerts for free!
-“Pretend” power outage. Eat a meal by candlelight. Play board games. No lights, no TV, no tablet, no phones. Enjoy each other’s company and communicate.
-Stargaze. Park the truck somewhere secluded. Or recline on your back deck. Grab some blankets, stare up at the moon and stars, and remind yourself how big this world of ours is.
