Miss Mexico Andrea Meza is crowned Miss Universe 2020.
In a change that is long overdue, the Miss Universe pageant will reportedly now allow wives and mothers to compete for the title.
The National reported the news that changes were coming, after they saw an internal memo.
“We all believe that women should have agency over their lives and that a human’s personal decisions should not be a barrier to their success,” the memo said.
Current rules only allow single women from the age of 18 to 28, who have never had children, to compete in the pageant.
Who knows, might be a North Carolina winner… I know I’ll be watching for sure!
