Dior Has Released A New Perfume Designed For Your Baby
It sounds like a rejected gag from the Boss Baby franchise, but it’s true. Luxury retailer Dior has just released a new perfume scent designed for your baby and young toddlers.
The perfume is called Bonne Etoile, which is French for “Lucky Star.” It was released under the Baby Dior fashion line, which was originally conceived in the 1960s. And now it’s back so a whole new generation of babies can smell fancy and high class!
Bonne Etoile is a very meaningful labor of love from Francis Kurkdjian, who details the purpose behind the new perfume as well as its scent profile on Dior’s website. “I wanted to bypass the inevitable orange blossom that has long been the signature scent of childhood,” said Kurkdjian, “and find a soothing fragrance in a different formula: a dewy and green pear note, brightened by wild rose, wrapped in soft, cottony, protective musks.”
If you’re a parent who’s concerned about possible hazardous chemicals, not to worry. Dior has made it clear that there is no alcohol in the perfume, and was specifically designed to, “be gentle on little ones’ fragile, delicate skin.”
If you think this would make a great stocking stuffer for the holidays, you may want to allocate some serious funds. Bonne Etoile is being sold for a whopping $230! And if you really want to go all out for your boujee baby, Dior is also selling baby moisturizer for $115, as well as a $95 cleansing foam and 95$ cleansing water.
That is a LOT of money to shell out for baby perfume in my opinion. Granted, I’m not a parent so this product isn’t really for me anyway. But if I hear that a parent spent two weeks worth of grocery money so their baby can smell like pears and roses, I’m definitely going to judge you having a Dior scented baby.
