March is a kicking off point in the year for a lot of changes! Daylight savings is around the corner along with the official start of the Spring season. As Winter starts to fade away, it begins to feel like we’re emerging from our hibernation! We can start to shed the heavy winter coats and stay outside past 5:30pm. With mother Earth getting a refresh, why can’t we freshen up as well??

In March I want to focus on outward appearances and ways we can pamper ourselves. Not in a shallow way. But in an “I deserve this!” way. I’m guilty of only getting my haircut maybe once or twice a year. If I buy new clothes, it’s usually workout/hiking gear. I’ve worn the same Converse sneakers for over a year and they’re almost falling off my feet. And the last time I stepped into a nail salon was exactly 2 years ago. Needless to say, I’m not the most feminine woman on the planet nor am I great at putting my appearances high on the priority list. Not because I don’t care, but mostly because my time and money are better spent in other facets of my life.

But what’s one month, right? I vow to set aside the month of March and focus on my appearances more. Perhaps I can budget for ONE new item of clothing/pair of shoes (side note, I’m terrible at shopping and it’s usually a form of torture). At the very least, I can take note of different ways myself or others pamper and adhere our appearances for others.

I can already feel March bringing a lot of promise with it!

Sincerely,

Sarah
