Steve Harvey Says Kill a Dream By Telling it to a Small-Minded Person
Today’s Kick Butt Tip of the day comes from tv star Steve Harvey and how to kill your dream. “You want to kill a big dream, tell it to a small minded person. God has shown you some amazing stuff in your life that you thought was brilliant and you took it to your friend’s and your family and you shared it with them and they shot it down. You know why they shot it down? Because they couldn’t see it. You know why they couldn’t see it cause God didn’t show it to them. He showed it to you.”
Have you ever found yourself thinking “no one but me knows what I am capable of?” You probably already know that you have greatness inside. But isn’t it a shame that more people don’t know about the magic you possess?
How Not To Kill Your Dream
First, you have to specifically identify what your dream is. Is your dream to be financially secure? Do you dream of owning a large home and lots of acreage one day? Can you see yourself as the General Manager of the company that you currently work for?
Now, let me ask, are you currently taking any steps whatsoever that will eventually lead you to achieving your dreams and goals? For most people, the sad answer is no.
Here is an ice cold fact for you. If you do not have a gameplan in place in reference to your dreams and goals, you are guaranteed to kill your dream.
You must know exactly what you desire, you must be willing to do whatever it takes and you must have a roadmap to get you to your goal.
In closing, please be on guard as to who you share your success journey with. There could be people in your inner circle of friends, coworkers or even family that don’t want you to succeed. I call them dream stealers. Never allow the committee of “them” to kill your dream.
Now, go get busy on your game plan and don’t quit until you have achieved your dream.
