BBQ Benefit Set for January 19 for Eastover Family Who Lost Son in Fire
In looking back, 2023 was a very challenging year for many of us and a great many of us were very happy when January 01, 2024 rolled around.
For the Steffen family, 2024 kicked off in the worst way possible. Not only did this family lose everything due to a house fire, but the most heartbreaking part was that the Steffen family lost a 5 year old little boy named Kevin in the fire as well.
Also, because of severe burns, Kevin’s 4 month old sister had to be airlifted to the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center at UNC hospitals in Chapel Hill.
It appears that the fire may have been accidental but that has yet to be fully determined.
To help this wonderful family get back on their feet, the community has put together a BBQ Benefit on Friday, January 19, 2024. The event will take place at Eastover Trading Company located at 3353 Dunn Road in Eastover, North Carolina from 10:00am until 6:00pm. For any donation that you would like to make, please come by and pick up a barbecue sandwich and beverage. Organizers will also have a bake sale on site. A raffle will take place as well.
