Annual ‘Surviving the Winter Songwriters Concert’ Set for This Weekend in Fairmont
If you’re looking for a musical good time this weekend, the Surviving the Winter Songwriters Concert might be just the thing for you.
When you’re blessed to live in beautiful Fairmont, North Carolina, on any given day, you can just hop in the car and in minutes, you’re on the beautiful coast of North or South Carolina. This time of year though, if you get the urge to go to the beach, it may occur to you that we are in the dead of Winter and that it might be a little too chilly. So what does one do?
Why not head out to the big party at the Fairmont Heritage Center this Friday night January 12? Many years ago a group of friends and fellow songwriters got together and decided to get together and make music every year. Their annual retreat is called “Surviving the Winter Party.” This year’s event is Friday January 12, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Fairmont Heritage Center located at 207 South Main Street in Fairmont, North Carolina. Simply bring yourself along with a bunch of friends and prepare to have a great time. Tickets are only $5.00 each and refreshments will be available.
Let me share a list of performers with you. The first name is that of Allen Hayes of Fairmont, North Carolina. Onstage you will also find Tim Fast of Elk River Minnesota, Herschel Lee Brown of Sharon, South Carolina, Lisa Stevens of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, Michael Pearrell of Roanoke, Virginia, John Elion of Providence Rhode Island, Mary Gordon Hall of Ivy, Virginia, Steve Simpson of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Greg Trafidlo of Salem, Virginia and Phyllis Tannerfrye of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
These friends will be putting on a great concert this coming Friday night January 12th at 7:00 pm at the Fairmont Heritage Center. This event is sponsored by The Town of Fairmont.
