A Tribute To A Great Man
If you had to make a list of everyone who had an impact on your life, which name would be at the top? For me, my immediate Family would top the list. Also on that list would be a number of my teachers at Bladenboro Primary, Spaulding Monroe Middle and Bladenboro High School. The next names would be those that opened the door, welcomed me in, taught me what I needed know and to this day remain a part of my life. Shortly after attending Village Baptist Church, Debbie and I had the opportunity to meet Dan Hart. From that brief encounter, I can honestly say, I have never met a more Godly man. Have you ever met someone whose spirit just ooozed out of his pores? That was Dan Hart. If you ever met Dan, I can almost guarantee that you will never forget Dan. Dan worked as a pharmacist in the area for many years. One other thing. If you ever met Dan, within a couple of minutes, Dan would let you know that he was a proud graduate of Campbell University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. No one and I mean no one loved the Camels and Tar Heels more. On December 6, 2019, Dan went home to be with his Lord. This past Saturday, a Celebration of Life was held at Village Baptist Church and what a wonderful celebration it was. Shortly before Dan passed away, Debbie and I took the time to tell Dan just how special he was and what a tremendous impact he had on our lives. Thank you Dan. I am so much better as a person just for knowing Dan Hart. Please take a moment to thank someone who had an impact on your life. Your heartfelt words will mean so much.
