So, let’s pretend for just a moment. You’re on a busy street in the City of Brother Love Philadelphia and a radio news reporter asks you to name your favorite inspirational film of all time. What would your answer be?
You may be one of the millions, including myself that instantly thinks of the character, Rocky Balboa played by the incredible actor Sylvester Stallone. In the Rocky movies, there are so many life lessons. A few of those are about not giving up ever and if you want it, work hard for it. The movie also includes a love story about Rocky’s love for his sweetheart Adrian.
In early December, a young man named Ro Knight of Alabama had the opportunity to meet the man, Sylvester Stallone. At age 9, and in front of the famous Rocky statue, Ro blew everybody away, including Sly when he repeated word for word, the inspirational speech Rocky gave to his son in the movie.

Here is a transcript of the famous speech: “The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. Me, you, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! And if you know what you want, go out and get what you want! But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not point fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!”
