Kick Butt Tip: Teamwork Makes The Dream Work
Today’s Kick Butt Tip of the day comes from Apple Computers co-founder Steve Jobs. “Great things in business are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people.”
Many years ago, I remember a high school football coach saying that the word TEAM stands for Together Everyone Accomplishes More. Cool, huh?
If you ever find yourself in the state of California and in the city of Los Altos, take time to drop by 2066 Crist Drive. You may be asking why? 2066 Crist Drive is where Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne had the idea to develop a personal computer. That idea would later become Apple Computers.
Today, the world knows Apple as one of the most successful companies and possibly the most successful company ever. I was reading a while back that Apple is now valued at over a trillion dollars. I believe history has recorded that Apple was the first company ever to be valued over a trillion dollars. Simply amazing.
Based on today’s Kick Butt Tip of the Day, “great things in business are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people,” do you feel like everyone is a part of the same team at your place of business? Here’s another question. Do you feel appreciated and are you ever told how important you are to the company or how appreciative your efforts are to the success of the company you work for?
Let me share one additional tip. If one of your co-workers goes above and beyond, take a moment and recognize that. Be a cheerleader. Be the positive example. Lift others up. Do for others what you would want done for you.
So, from Apple co-founder Steve Jobs: “Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.”
Remember, you are awesome. Now go be awesome!
