Kick Butt Tip: Don’t Quit Even If You Don’t See Results
Today’s Kick Butt Tip of the Day comes from the man labeled the greatest sprinter of all time, Usain Bolt. “I trained 4 years to run 9 seconds. And people give up when they don’t see results in two months.”
Jamaica’s Usain Bolt, at one time was by far, the fastest man in the world. Still to this day, Bolt holds the world record for the 4X100 metres relay along with records for the 100 metres and 200 metres.
Bolt went on to win an amazing 8 Olympic Gold medals during his three Olympic appearances. What a tremendous accomplishment.
Now, back to you and I. Why is it that many of us give up so easily? We decide that we have a dream or a goal that is worth pursuing or we face at task at work that we need or must complete. And then when the first challenge presents itself, we are ready to throw in the towel?
My friend, the next time you think that you have it tough or you think about complaining about your current situation, take a moment to think about those that have the goal to become a United States Navy Seal. If you want to get your mind blown, go online and check out the training requirements in order to become a Navy Seal. The demands are incredible. The criteria will make you wonder how the human body stands up to such challenges. In the end, only the best of the best become U.S Navy Seals.
You and I may never become a world-class sprinter or a Navy Seal, but we both have dreams and goals. Beginning today, pursue those dreams and goals and remember. Even if you are not seeing results, do not quit. Stay the course and the results will come.
Go get ’em tiger! God don’t make no junk. You, yes you are awesome! Now go be awesome!
