Kick Butt Tip: Listen To Your Inner Voice
Let’s go “old school” today with a quote from the famous E.F. Hutton tv and radio commercials. “When E.F. Hutton Talks People Listen.” In my opinion, the same happens when Hollywood star Morgan Freeman speaks, people listen.
From actor Morgan Freeman, “let me tell you about a voice. Not this voice but the one inside. The one that whispers. It tells me what’s right and what’s not, when to leave and where to go. It’s not
Shakespeare. It does not speak in memorable lines. My inner voice always gives it to me straight. It tells me who my real friends are, when to say yes, when to say no, whether the person sitting next to me is the person I’ll be spending the rest of my life with or not. Sometimes that voice is crystal clear. Sometimes it merely whispers.”
We all have that inner voice. It is always there 24/7.
Have you ever heard the saying to “trust your gut” or “just go with your gut feeling?”
I remember a story about the man behind Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford. Shortly after starting Ford Motor Company, sales suddenly declined. On the surface it appeared that the idea of everyone owning this new type of transportation had cooled off. Henry Ford then did the unthinkable. Ford doubled the wages of his employees. The move resulted in more cars being built, employee turnover sharply declined and because workers had more money in their pockets, they could buy more Ford vehicles.
Henry Ford went with his “gut” feeling and it paid off handsomely. Please share your own “go with your gut” stories with me at DonChase@WKML.com.
Go get ’em tiger! God don’t make no junk. You, yes you are awesome! Now go be awesome!
