Valerie Bertinelli On Hitting Rock Bottom and What Action She Took
In a recent interview, Valerie Bertinelli got very personal while talking with talk show host Drew Barrymore.
Bertinelli is candid about the time she hit rock bottom in her life. She told Drew Barrymore, “When you hit rock bottom, I always think of God or the universe or whatever you want to call it. It kinda taps you on the shoulder for a little bit and you don’t really pay attention. Then he gives you a little shove and you don’t pay attention. Then you get knocked on your knees and you say okay okay give me a minute give me a minute and then you don’t take your minute. And then you get shoved until your life is completely unmanageable. It goes back to the stuff that happened during childhood and that’s the stuff I have to begin working on.”

When you talk about celebrities hitting rock bottom, do you remember Martha Stewart? When she was at the top of her game and with her tv cooking show doing well, she went to prison for five months.
Drew Barrymore herself had substance abuse issues as a teenager. Thanks to rehab, in just a short period of time she was back to making movies and now is the host of one of daytime television’s most popular talk shows.
