Post Malone Says He’s Trying to Stop Second Guessing Himself, and You Should Too!
Today’s Kick Butt Tip of the Day comes from artist Post Malone. “Stop second guessing yourself.”
In a recent interview with NPR, Malone said “that he’s trying to stop second guessing himself. I always questioned things and now I have a tendency to second-guess myself. And I know I shouldn’t. I love the music that I make. I love making music. I mean, my dad told me when I was a kid, not everybody’s going to like you. And that stuck with me. I do the best for the people that do.”
You and I both know that breaking a deeply ingrained habit is often difficult. I once read that to break a habit or to create a new one, will take you 21 days.
Back in 2019, the Cleveland Clinic did a story on how to break bad habits. The article begins with examining just how a habit is created. Then, it lists 15 ways to handle unwanted habits. Click here to read the story.
For Post Malone, there is one area where he is not second guessing himself and that is when it comes to writing hit songs.
In just 13 short years, Malone has amassed a few incredible records in the entertainment industry. A few of those include selling over 80 million records worldwide, 9 Grammy nominations, 10 Billboard Music Awards and 3 American Music Awards.
On May 16, 2024, Malone started tongues wagging when he performed an unreleased song at the annual Academy of Country Music Awards show. Fans are thinking the song will be included on Malone’s debut Country album. A released date has not been shared.
What has been released and is getting tons of radio airplay is Malone’s new song “I Had Some Help.” The tune features Malone’s friend and Country Music superstar Morgan Wallen.
