My seven-year-old son shocked my husband and I on Sunday when he said he wants to dress asJoker for Halloween. He has not seen Joaquin Phoenix’s movie, but has seen pictures of him on the Internet. My husband and I are all about freedom of expression and are torn over whether or not to allow our son to portray a character like Joker. My parents blasted me for even considering allowing him to dress as Joker. It’s only Halloween. I don’t think they should be so serious. Should we allow our son to dress as Joker or not?
