In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Tim, said “it got to the point where I knew I drank too much. I knew it was affecting my personal relationships. It was affecting my professional relationships. It was affecting my family. It was turning me into a person that I didn’t want to be. I knew I was at a point where I could lose everything in my life. Where Did Tim’s Strength To Quit Drinking Come From
In the interview, Tim told Oprah, that just knowing that his father, major league baseball star Tug McGraw, gave him the confidence he needed to do anything. Tim said “knowing his blood was in me, that inspired me. He gave me a dream of what my life could become.”
