Kick Butt Tip: 50 Cent Losing Is Not An Option
Today’s Kick Butt Tip of the day comes from rapper 50 Cent. “When losing is not a option, then you gotta do everything possible to win. Like I don’t understand how they become complacent and feel like its okay. You know, you get people to deal with things by not actually dealing with them.”
I am sure we both agree that losing is awful. No one ever wants to lose. So, when the chips are down and when losing is not an option, what action do you take?
If you are on a high school, college or professional coaching staff, you have your team practice, practice, practice. The goal is to run the plays over and over so that when game time rolls around, the plays run themselves. Execute your plays properly and more effectively than your competitor and chances are, you and your team will be victorious.
What Can We Do When Losing Is Not An Option
In life, what if we developed our own playbook and then every day we set a goal to achieve just a little more than the day before? Then, the next day, we set a new goal to accomplish just a little more.
National Basketball Association star Kobe Bryant said it best in a speech years ago. “At the end of every day, you look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, did I get better today? If the answer is yes and you do that for a period of years, how much better will you be? It’s the process of doing better every day and that then creates a masterpiece.”
When losing is not an option, step up, step out and do whatever it takes to be successful. Do whatever it takes to avoid the awful feeling that you will get knowing you could have done more but chose not to.
Go get ’em tiger! God don’t make no junk. You, yes you are awesome! Now go be awesome!
