Darius Rucker On What His Mother Means
Country star Darius Rucker happily credits his Mother for his success in the entertainment world. Darius says that he would not be the man he is today without his Mother. Darius says he still lives by those teachings.
Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettle On Motherhood
The lead singer of the Country group Sugarland Jennifer Nettles says that she is a totally different woman after becoming a Mother. Jennifer says that “there is nothing that becoming a mother has not changed. There is nothing that it has not touched. There is nothing that forever more it will not touch. It is the strangest feeling. I will never know again what it is like to be one whole person. I will forever have my heart walking on the outside of my body. I will worry for every day of the rest of my life.”
Country Star Thomas Rhett
Country star Thomas Rhett says that he never thought that he could love his wife Lauren any more until the day he saw her become a Mother. Thomas said after his wife gave birth he gained so much more respect for his own Mother. Thomas says that looking back on just how much Mom did for me and now I get to watch Lauren do the same for our kids just takes that intensity to a different level. These days, Mother’s Day is a lot more than just “Hey Mom, Happy Mother’s Day.” It’s “hey Mon. Thank you for being the most amazing mother on the planet because without you this would all fall apart.”
Pro Golfer Wyndham Clark’s Tribute To His Mother
In June of 2023, pro golfer Wyndham Clark won his first-ever major title at the Los Angeles Country Club. He defeated Rory McIlrory by one-stroke. After his victory, he took time to honor his Mother who lost her battle with cancer. When she died, Rory was only 19 years old. In the tribute, Wyndham said “she was so positive and such a motivator in what she did. She’d be crying tears of joy. She called me winner when I was little. When she was sick and I was in college, she told me, Hey, play big. Play for something bigger than yourself. You have a platform to either witness or help or be a role model for so many people. I’ve taken that to heart. When I’m out there playing, I want to do that for her.”
