From possibly the greatest boxer ever Muhammad Ali: "I hated every minute of training, but I said, Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion."

I am willing to bet that we both had the same reaction the first time we read this quote.  After all, Muhammad Ali was considered by many to be the greatest boxer of all time.  In this quote, I think Ali was saying what many of us have thought and can relate to.  When it comes to fitness, we all would like to be in tip top shape without having to do the work.  We all would love to have that perfect beach body without having to work so hard in the gym.  Ali admitted that he was not a fan of having to train.  But when it came down to success in the ring, Ali knew that he first had to train before each fight in order to obtain victory.

Today's Kick Butt Tip of the Day reminds me of another of my favorite motivational statements.  And that is "quitters don't win and winners don't quit."  If my dad said this once he said it a thousand times.  Dad would also say that often when you quit, you most always regret the action in some way.  There's always that little voice inside that says what if?  What if you had not quit? What if you had not thrown in the towel?  We all can look back and wonder what might the outcome have been if we had hung in there and not quit.

If ever at the end of your rope, tie a knot, hang on, don't quit and remember Muhammad Ali.  "Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion."  You are awesome.  So go be awesome!
