Kick Butt Tip: Toby Keith Says Write Every Day, Don’t Get Lazy
Here’s hoping that you’re having a fantastic day today. In an effort to make today even better, let me share today’s Kick Butt Tip of the Day with you. Today’s awesome advice comes from country superstar Toby Keith.
In a recent interview, Toby said to aspiring songwriters, “toll away every day. If you’re an aspiring songwriter, don’t get lazy. Write every single day. Toll away every day.” Toby also shared that most of his catalog was written at a time when he was writing at least four or five days a week.
Now, chances are you and certainly I am not a songwriter. But based on Toby’s advice, do we work on “us” every day? Chances are no. Do we make an effort to even look at our dreams and goals and take action in one way or another to achieve those goals at some point down the road? Sadly, the answer is probably not.
So, a big thank you to Toby Keith for the inspiring advice to “write every single day” if you’re a songwriter. For you and I, beginning today and every day forward, do something for you. Take action on a dream on a goal. Decide to accomplish everything on your “must-do” list tomorrow. Do not leave work and do not lay your head down until every item is complete. I will bet if we actually completed the items on our to-do list, we would sleep much better at night. For me, hopefully my brain wouldn’t wake me at 2 o’clock in the morning thinking about all that I have to do or didn’t get done.
Also, if you will please, say a prayer for Toby as he continues his battle with stomach cancer
Go have a beautiful day today. And please remember my Friend, God don’t make no junk. You are awesome! Now go be awesome!
