Kick Butt Tip: An Amazing Way To Celebrate A 90th Birthday
So, if you are like me and need some really good motivation, I have you covered.
Going forward, I hope we both can remember this story and let it motivate us.
Today’s Kick Butt Tip of the Day is thanks to a Naples, Florida resident. And not just any resident, a really awesome-thinking 90-year-old resident.
Tom Schoeneck loves his daily exercise regimen. Tom says the credit for his fitness program goes to his wife who encouraged him years ago to get active and stay active in order to have a long healthy life.
Recently, Tom has been under the weather but while celebrating his 90th birthday, he had the idea to do one of his favorite things. Ride his bike and celebrate the milestone by riding an incredible distance. You are asking how far, right? 90 miles and ride the 90 miles over a single 24-hour period. Tom set the goal and achieved it. To add to the excitement of the moment, his daughter joined in and rode along.
Next year, Tom is already planning to ride 91 miles to celebrate his 91st birthday.
I gotta tell you, I feel motivated by just reading these words. I hope you feel the same.
A while back, I stumbled upon a great article at PopSugar.com. The piece put the spotlight on some of the most active seasoned individuals in the world. One of those, according to the Guinness Book of Records, is the oldest yoga teacher in the world. Also, you will also be amazed by a world champion weightlifter who happens to be 77 years old.
